Unguided evolution is the belief that the Theory of Evolution is true and also scientific principles, notably Natural selection are behind evolution. This contrasts with theistic evolution which assumes that evolution happens but God guides it.
Many people avoid seeing natural selection and feel unguided evolution must be a chance process. The important facts are not only that random mutations happen but also that those with favourable mutations tend to survive. The survival of the fittest is what drives evolution.
