Taoism involves belief in a spiritual force called "the Tao". The Tao is basically a big spirtual otherworldly thing that is all the souls and when you die, your soul goes back into the Tao. Taoism is more a philosophy than a religion but is traditionally included in religions, Taoism popular in China. There may be around 225 million Taoists worldwide. Many Taoists follow other religions as well as Taoism. [1]
Taoism believes in some type of impersonal life force that they claim is the First cause and that surrounds everyone. Good and evil spiritual beings are accepted by lay believers in the Tao system as manifestations of Tao which have become good or corrupt. [2]
