Rebecca Watson blogs in the Skepchick blog network, which she also runs, and she also appears in the online radio show The Skeptics Guide to the Universe | Your escape to reality.

She has become a central figure in the Misogyny Wars as a result of the Elevatorgate scandal. In June 2011, at 4 am in an elevator far away from home, some "gentleman" asked her if she wanted to go to his room and have some coffee. She vlogged about that incident[1], concluding with "Guys, don't do that". That provoked an extremely vicious, hostile response, almost as if she had committed some terrible atrocities against the "Elevator Guy"[2][3]. She has continued her feminist activism, taking a swipe at evolutionary psychology in her talk How Girls Evolved to Shop.

She has an asteroid named after her.[4]
