Genesis is the first chapter of the Old Testament. It starts with how Christian Fundamentalists imagine the Universe was created. Genesis goes on to unreasonable stories like Noah's flood and a bit later the Tower of Babel. Genesis goes on to how believers imagine a loving God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac. Though Isaac was spared at the last minute the young lad would have been in extreme terror of death.
Fortunately there's no reason to believe Genesis is any more reasonable than other Bronze Age Mythology of the time.
